Season Outlook:

Our distance runners had a very strong spring track season, providing confidence that we can be a top contender for the state cross country championship crown. We will be a younger squad that will compensate for a lack of experience with fearlessness and fire. This team is very hungry to make its mark. One of the very best attributes of our team is work ethic. They understand and embrace a work ethic which asks them to run lots of miles together as a team, as well as doing the little things on their own outside of practice to hone their running skills even more.

The running Rocks begin the season with several competitive meets that will enable us to determine our top runners and our team strength relative to other strong teams. The second half of the season will see Trinity enter a few large invitational’s within the region that will test our metal and ongoing development. All of that is a precursor for the post season meets that really count – region and state.

The Shamrocks are once again part of a very competitive region along with South Oldham and Eastern. At state, we will face other top squads such as St. X and Daviess County. If we can remain healthy, and with continued hard work, we will have an excellent chance to be in the hunt for a state championship.
